He is also the Executive Producer of Ira Sachs’ recent masterpiece ‘Peter Hujar’s Day’ and Charlie Kaufman’s ‘How To Shoot a Ghost’.
FRANKLIN LAVIOLA is the Executive Producer of Nicholas Laviola’s visionary documentary feature HOLY GHOST FIRE THE ECSTASY OF RANDY WOLFORD (2018), Jack Fessenden’s war film triptych FOXHOLE (2021), Larry Fessenden’s werewolf horror feature BLACKOUT (2023), and Nira Burstein’s upcoming short film DEAR SHOP GIRL (Woodstock Film Festival 2025 World Premiere), starring Rory Culkin and Lorraine Farris.
Along with his his brother Nicholas, Franklin is an Executive Producer on Ira Sachs’ acclaimed biographical feature PETER HUJAR’S DAY, starring Ben Whishaw and Rebecca Hall (Sundance Film Festival 2025, Berlin Film Festival 2025 - Berlinale, New York Film Festival 2025 - Lincoln Center). PETER HUJAR’S DAY will be released in US theaters on November 7th, courtesy of Janus Films.
Franklin and Nicholas also recently served as Executive Producers on Oscar-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman’s next directorial project HOW TO SHOOT A GHOST (Venice Film Festival 2025 World Premiere - La Biennale), starring Oscar-nominee Jessie Buckley and newcomer Josef Akiki.
